Branch Manager

Coventry Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated professional with a minimum of four years of experience in a banking branch management position. This position will oversee two branches. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the coordination of the day-to-day operations of the branches in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Act as Loan Officer, processing and approving member loans within established policies and limits
  • Provide leadership through effective objective setting and communication
  • Assure that all branch personnel provide exceptional service, aligned with the Coventry Credit Union's fundamental values and mission statement 
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies/procedures and credit union and area competitors’ products/services affecting branch operations. 
  • Ensure that staff have all of the necessary training and tools to successfully present the Credit Union’s products and services to existing and potential members
  • Maintains and fosters branch participation in community events in support of promoting awareness and growth
  • All other duties as assigned

Competencies Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating staff
  • Proven ability and leadership to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage all priorities and workflow with versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member while using discretion in decision making and good judgment  problem solving
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with specialized courses in banking, related course work and training in finance, retail management, etc. At least four years’ experience in branch supervision, or equivalent relevant experience.
